Many thanks to those who have been asking about the concert. All went well. I am now starting to work on a series of photos for an exhibition in September. I had an idea when we were building the house, that I wanted to take detailed close ups of the tools and materials used to build the house, and to put these together in some way. At the moment I have a series of collages underway and so I thought I would put four together to post for yesterday, as that was what I spent the day working on. can you spot the mistake?
What a great idea, I love it. The only mistake I can see if indeed it is a mistake is that the border between the four groups of nine is larger than the others, but I think this works so well because it separates the nine square sections. I have to fav this for such a creative collage.
Ah yes I see it, but I had to look really hard! You have a repeating picture in pic 12 and pic 28. It's a fab collage though Helen, really interesting to look at.
1 & 26 and 12 & 28 are repeated but they do not detract from the effectiveness of this super collage..
it really is a fab idea and so well crafted too..
@onewing Well spotted - that wasn't exactly a mistake, I just thought I could get away with it for the reasons you give. The real display will have the four squares displayed separately. Thank you so much for the fav and comment. @taffy Thank you very much. @kjarn I think it will look better with the four squares displayed in a linear fashion. Not so much for the eyes to cope with. @domenicododaro You are exactly right. The football was no mistake. It was an essential tool in occupying the young lads when the roof of the house was getting rather too busy with young people to be safe. @adayinmallacoota thank you Belinda. There is a whole story in middle eastern building techniques there, waiting to be told. @suzanne234 It does look like cake, but is actually a rice dish, cooked a bit like an upside-down-pudding, with lamb at the bottom. Delicious - and there was none left when we had finished! @stephanies Well spotted. You are exactly right. I moved the squares around so much that I lost track of the ones I had already used. I have plenty more, and so the repeat will be put right. @jorlam Nearly right Jorlam. 1 and 26 are different pictures. I decided that there had to be coffee in each section since it was such a welcome and regular feature of each building day.
