It turns out that this is going to be the week of the macro insect for me. Here is a little fellow I found hopping around with lots of his mates round the back of a marquee at Rushden Lakes. I was delighted to catch him before he moved on, partly because I haven't seen one in a while, and partly because I found it just about possible to lean on one knee for a short while before being forced to get up again. This marks a considerable improvement in mobility - but not sufficient to enable me to be confident about camping in a festival tent this coming weekend!
Well done for being able to get this .......I really like insect photos but have had very limited mobility due to being poorly over the past few months and I've not been able to get out to find them, so it's lovely to see them on here ........I'm looking forward to your insect series very much.
Well done for capturing this shot. The last time I tried to photograph a grasshopper it jumped on my lens before I could get the photo.
Glad to hear you are more mobile, just take it slowly.
I’m loving all of this luscious green and, of course, the wonderful grasshopper...beautiful capture! It’s amazing how it can cling onto that spiky plant!
You went to Shambalha? My youngest was there but I need comfy seats to listen to music! Good macro... I would have had to lie down to get a shot like this and the full risk assessment suggests that I might never have got up again!
Glad to hear you are more mobile, just take it slowly.
