008 - A visit to my mum in Rotherham today. I had all kinds of thoughts about photos of post industrial dereliction, rejuvenation and reclaimed landscapes, but sometimes something simple really is best - here late afternoon sunlight shines through the patterned glass in the door at the back of her house. It was interesting watching the light through this glass change during the course of the day, so I took a series of shots. This one is my favourite.
Thank you for your kind comment. I thought you must live somewhere in that area, with the photos of Keppels Column. I was actually in Swinton, but if you say that nobody knows which Swinton you mean (the one near Malton?, or Masham? or Manchester?? - or the real one near Rotherham!!)
