095 - The opening of Railfest involved the naming of a locomotive by Carol Vorderman, TV celebrity. It was named to commemorate the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, and followed by a flying display by aircraft from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
The locomotive only spent the first two days at the event before returning to service. It is seen here at York station on a London bound service.
Its extensive visual enhancement attracted a lot of interest, and as you can see, the illustrations are quite eye catching and it looks like it will become a celebrity in its own right!
Thank you bruni - I love the way that some locomotives are now being decorated in individual ways like this. I saw this again a few days later and photographed the other side, which has different decoration!

It certainly attracted attention as it arrived in the station!
Thank you Lisa - it's certainly been interesting playing with collages this week.
