110 - Following yesterday's deluge of rain, today has been dull and windy with heavy showers. Not ideal for the many summer events taking place this weekend. Even less ideal for the places across northern England where flash floods have occurred. My sympathies to all those whose properties have been affected. In York itself, the river is expected to reach its highest level overnight tonight as the rivers bring down the floodwater from the Dales.
The nearest I came to finding a bright spot today was the lightening in the sky to the south-west of our house - but within 5 minutes we had another downpour!
Sorry you had a wet visit to the Isle of Wight - somewhere I've always wanted to go, but haven't yet got to. I've even got the OS map and walking guides ready!
