318 - Excellent conditions for taking shots in the snow, with nice gentle sunshine and a light covering of the white stuff. There was also a heavy frost, so there was additional decoration on the trees, hedges and fences, where the frost had built up. This was a great opportunity for a walk north past Rawcliffe Ings, along the cycle track near the River Ouse.
However, this shot was taken in my garden before my walk started, with the textures of the snow highlighted, and contrasted with the shadows being cast by plants. A few blades of grass protrude through the snow.
