Birds keep me company here in the den. They love to land in the fringe tree just beyond the porch rail; and when working on the desktop computer, I watch them easily from the big window next to my chair. What joy they bring! Occasionally, one ventures onto the porch and sits on the rocker looking in; and that’s always a treat. It’s usually a perky little Carolina Wren. They love the porches and always have.
I don’t know why I never thought of it before. Why not hike up the heavy wood blinds, remove the window grilles and aim 500mm on a tripod at that fringe tree? Today, I did.
This is the day the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
— Psalm 118:27
What a fabulous capture - I open my big wooden door to the patio and gaze out the glass/screen door at the birds and squirrels all day - costing me a fortune in seed and peanuts, but well worth it ♥
What a fabulous shot. The color of the bird is so vibrant and beautiful against the snowy background. The details on the feathers and snow is amazing. Fav.
