There, alongside the road, hundreds of beautiful canes bent heavy with blackberries basked in luxurious sunshine. These and an abundance of other colorful berries — some familiar and some not — explained the thrilling presence of fruit-loving birds in Keystone State Park. To be awed by the bearing of fruit and a bluebird's blue is no small thing, and I'm reminded of why I make pictures. To feel the awe again and again — to meditate on His goodness — I make pictures.
I will sing to the Lord all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long
as I live.
May my meditation be pleasing to him,
as I rejoice in the Lord.
— Psalms 104:33-34
Your overflowing abundance of joy matches the overflowing abundance of berries and birds you tenderly talk about. I am enjoying the glimpses into your days of travel :)
