A week ago, I'd never heard of neurographic art; and today, I created a piece. After spending a few hours reading about the purported peace-producing properties of this practice and watching a few technique videos, I felt excited to give it a try. With a couple of new Sharpies and an empty page torn from an old sketchbook, I drew the first line and never looked back. Before I knew it, three hours had ticked off the clock and Gracie was letting me know her dinner was late!
Since I finished, I've been thinking about this new art form and the peace and pure joy I experienced trying my hand at it. (Seems its claims are true — at least for me.) I plan to pick up some watercolor paper for my next effort to eliminate the rippling I got from using watercolor pencils on paper from my sketchbook. I can't wait to learn more, create more, grow more!
Thank you, Julie @juliedduncan, for introducing me to this fascinating art form. I am truly grateful!
