Thank you, Lord, for the day spent making ornaments with Mike — just like we did nearly 40 years ago!
What were the chances? It seems we were both feeling a bit nostalgic, because Mike and I gave each other the same Christmas gifts this year — Makit & Bakit ornament kits! We were just dating nearly 40 years ago when we first filled those metal frames with colorful crystals and watched them melt like magic into "stained glass" in my Mom’s oven. We've always loved that day and those ornaments. Neither of us knew the other had been searching the Internet for the old kits until we both opened our gifts Christmas morning, and our time making the ornaments together today was just as magical as we'd remembered it being nearly 40 years ago!
So pretty! I loved the story and the photo of the results. I remember painting ceramic ornaments when I was pregnant with our first child. I made about a dozen of them, and now each of the grown adult children own a few.
