@Weezilou Thank you for commenting! In front of each prize, a container is set in which folks can place a ticket that they've purchased. (The container is often a teacup, which is how the auction got its name...although, I'm not sure why the word auction is used since it is clearly not an actual auction.) At the end of the event, a ticket is drawn from the container to determine who wins that prize! This year, our benefit raised funds for Pediatric Palliative Care Coalition, which helps the families of children with life-limiting illnesses. The benefit was a huge success, and we are all so grateful!
