A First by janetb

A First

Thank you, Lord, for tulips blooming right out front — a first!

Daffodils, yes. Hyacinths, yes. Crocuses, yes. But blooming tulips? Not until now! The bulbs I planted in November, a gift brought back from John and Nirali's honeymoon visit to Denmark, produced pretty red petals that delight us each day — and how fitting that the tulip's most common meaning is deep love.

how delightful. I love the radiating pattern of the tulip leaves as well as the beautiful flower itself. Congratulations on getting these to grow.

What a lovely color they are - and every time you look at them, you'll think about what brought them to that spot. What a lovely repeating gift.
