After 40 years, setting out on a drive with a loaded picnic basket remains one of our favorite things to do. We still use the same picnic basket and red-and-white checkered tablecloth, and we still pack the same type of sandwiches. Egg salad. It's our tradition! Today, we set up our picnic in Laurel Hill State Park after a hot walk on the Copper Kettle Trail. A bit of antiquing on the way home provided us with a beautiful assortment of old, etched stemware for our new wine room and a memorable conversation with an 82-year-old shopkeeper who sure sees God at work in his long life. Even Gracie enjoyed the day!
I praise you, Lord, for Mike and the drive and the walk and the picnic and the egg salad and the antiques and the friendly shopkeeper and the puppy who truly is Amazing Grace.
What an awesome tradition (and I like egg salad sandwiches!). I really like this photo. I appreciate that you find God working in the "every day events of life". How refreshing! Thank you.
@thewatersphotos Thank you so much for your kind comment, Gary! God's presence is such a gift, isn't it? And thank you for sharing your faith here on the 365.
