With temperatures in the 70s, it feels a bit like fall around here today — a perfect day to be home tending to laundry and other chores. I thought I'd cozy up the kitchen by filling this old pitcher with a beautiful bunch of late-blooming hydrangeas from down by the pond. I love the creamy pink and white hydrangea flowers; but once I set the arrangement on the kitchen island, one of the hydrangea leaves backlit by sun beaming in the big window stole the show!
The cooler temps are tempting me to think "early fall" here as well. I suppose it's not really safe to do that tho. Lovely focus on an unusual part of this scene. Green will soon be a color we're craving when it's all gone in the resting period of winter.
