Vigorous? Invasive? The first, I like. The second, not so much. When I discovered Bishop's Weed at the flower market last spring, I fell in love with its pretty, variegated foliage and bishop’s hat-shaped leaves. I knew about its reputation; so I planted only a few in the pond bed, envisioning them spreading to dance delightfully around the other perennials. This spring, I found Bishop's Weed popping up profusely; and I love it — so far!
I also love the flecks of white scattered on the mulch — thousands of the Cleveland Pear flower petals (like the one shown in yesterday’s post) create a wedding rice-like, celebratory atmosphere in the garden!
I praise you, Lord, for Bishop's Weed dancing delightfully around the other perennials.
