I've been playing around with SILVER EFEX and wanted to share two edits. Any opinions? I'm off to take drop off my photos that were accepted in my first ever juried show. You've seen them- Yaquina Head lighthouse at sunset and Bridge in the Fog. I'm also taking smoke colors the dawn in the mountains to the "Salon de Refuse". I have all of you to thank for your support and advice that has gotten me to this point. Thanks so much
This is beautiful. I love the detail on this one much better. I'm gonna have to look into Efex for b&w editing. I've seen some really nice edits done with it. Good work.
I think I like this one the best. It seems to be a little softer on the eye. The other one is a little to bright to my eyes.
Good luck with the show. I entered a few juried shows last year. I had a lady that wanted to buy one of my pictures but her husband said no. It was in B & W and he didn't like B & W shots. They didn't get her name and phone number for me other wise I could have showed her the colored print. I have not entered any this year. I just haven't had anytime to put things together.
Many congrats on the photo entries, hope you get much praise & sales!!!! Your photos deserve every thing & I remember a couple of the ones you have entered.
Amazing effect here, makes me feel quite chilly!
Excellent. I agree with the comments above, this is my preferred image. Thanks for stimulating me to thing about this technique. I need to do some research, and will try Silver Efex.
I prefer this one. Compare the snow on the foreground fence rail, and this one has more detail. The other one appears a little overexposed, even if it isn't because the detail has disappeared. The photo itself is really nice, and I hope you try other approaches as well.
