I was waiting for my friend for a hike at North Jetty, and the waves coming up the river were huge. There were a bunch of surfers trying their best, but mostly they were being toppled. The waves were both really big and unpredictable. I like that even though he was far away for the lens I had with me, you still can see the color of his board. Sorry for not having time to comment. I'm out of town at a workshop dawn until after my bedtime
Wonderful sports action shot! So often, these action shots aren't very well composed because everything happens so fast, but this is just right. The darkness of the background is almost terrifying.
