Best Buddy Dance

Pearl is happy we are back from Hawaii so she can play with her best friend again. Our camera club's contest this month is "pets" and I'm trying to choose between this shot I took yesterday or one I posted a while ago

So, this is a hard choice as I really like the expression on their faces in the other shot -- especially how Pearl's buddy seems to be watching what you are doing. And it's a closeup that conveys how they are playing well together. BUT, this ends up being my 1st choice. I love the action in it, and the details of the sand kicked up around their feet and the way they are almost hugging as they play.

@taffy you know, they actually hug each other a lot. I’ve never seen two dogs so clearly love each other like these two do. I pretty much had decided on this one. I think the other is a better photograph but this one makes me happy and I decided that’s far more important than winning the contest!

I am not sure about the other shot, I decided not to go back to find it because I love this shot so much! If you are not familiar with dogs body language then you might think these dogs did not like each other, but to us dog owners it shows fun and love. Reminds me of my dog Finn and his best friend Jack, funny how dogs are like us humans and have friends, but still have that one dog that is their best buddy!
