Bedraggled Hummer by jgpittenger

Bedraggled Hummer

We seem to have two Annas hummingbirds that are going to overwinter with us. I think this is a male but it is harder to tell when they aren’t in breeding plumage. I liked his beak open with a bit of tongue showing.

Oh dear...is that unusual for one to stay instead of migrating? I hope it does okay -- as usual, tack sharp capture.

@taffy no problem...Anna’s overwinter here. They eat bugs as well as pollen and we feed higher concentration of sugar
