I don't think I've ever before photographed birds in such gorgeous light. we went out to the river path before dawn and were gifted with this light. They were too far away for as much sharp detail as I would like despite being shot at 600 mm.

What a beautiful image. The lighting is marvellous and that blue streak just adds so much. The tiny dark patch at the very top seemed to be maybe attracting more than its fair share of attention?
Wow, I love that golden light, and the contrast with the blue stripe of the water. A pleasing composition too. How much did you pay them to pose like that? :)
