Jim Portrait High Key by jgpittenger

Jim Portrait High Key

For my mentoring group assignment shooting black and white with artificial light. My sweet husband of almost 51 years was willing to be a model. This was shot with two off camera flashes and edited in Silver EFEX using a high key preset. Do you prefer the high key or the more traditional black and white in my flowers album?
Thanks so much for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
I tihnk this one - brings out his eyes. Can you up the contrast a bit - I avoid flash at all costs - just no idea what to do with it!

@judithg me too!!! I'm struggling this week....I agree though this one brings out his eyes. Up the contrast and clarity. Are his eyes placed on a third? Looks like they probably are. A vignette to draw you right into his face?

I much prefer the tone of this shot Jane. I would maybe up the contrast a bit more and even a bit more vignette but this is much better in my eye to the other version. A lovely portrait of your husband who has a twinkle in his eye!!
