It seems strange that ‘mandatory masks in shops’ wasn’t introduced until July 24th and to think that there was such a fuss about it. Cambridge had pretty much made its own mind up well before then and has always had high mask uptake. I met a friend for a walk today and she treated me to a coffee and Aromi toasty. There’s always a take away queue there mixed up with Deliveroo drivers in and out all the time. I watched the staff wiping and wiping while I waited - surfaces, food containers, equipment - it’s reassuring. It would be lovely to actually sit in again though!
Weather: bitterly cold wind
Covid: R less than 1 - hurrah!
Good thing: warm clothes
It's good to know that good shops are still baking. My bread shop is on an industrial estate and not so glamorous as this but the vegan chocolate chip cookies this morning were delish.
Love the reflections & double view...inside & outside for us to see! Beautifully packaged....it looks very tempting! As you say if only we could sit down! Pretty good about the masks here too.
Dare I say this government has been late at acting upon advice and guidance throughout the pandemic ...not that there is a rule book of what to do ...anyway nice story and image judith
A really interesting shot with the double reflections. I can almost imagine the smell of that shop. One day we will be able to sit in places like that again and chat with friends over coffee....... sigh........
