I washed the cleaning cloths from the Community Fridge yesterday (turns out I am actually my mother’s daughter and can’t ignore a dish cloth that needs a refresh though I resisted ironing the tea towel- just). I walked over to the church hall to take them back this morning, nipped into the local greengrocer & couldn’t resist the rhubarb. On the way home there was a big branch broken off a tree during the overnight gales and it was easy to snap off a few small branches- they’re looking lovely in a vase in the kitchen. Anyway- I put my bag down and thought I’d brought home spring.
Weather: high winds and heavy rain showers
Covid: The UK Biobank which has been following 500,000 people since 2006 and has scans, health and genetic information about them is going to rescan 1,500 Covid survivors from amongst their ‘bank’. That should give lots of really useful information.
Good thing: a cat on my lap.
I saw some children doing the exact same thing with a fallen branch with blossom today!
Nice picture, did someone print this bag for you?
And... I iron my tea towels. I have so many (I can't resist a pretty tea towel) and unless I iron them flat, I can't get them in the drawer. I justify it by saying to myself, at least ironing sterilises them!
@blightygal I thought if I put it in my bag it wouldn’t look like I’d vandalised a tree... Bag came from a gift shop ages ago - Monty used to bark at it. I iron my tea towels and I agree about the sterilisation!! Then I shove them in a disorganised cupboard. I may tidy it out so I can justify a new Emma Bridgewater one. I have some really threadbare ones that my mum gave me for some reason - drying the dog or something- and now she’s died (& the dog) I can’t throw them out for sentimental reasons....
@judithg Awww over your mums tea towels.., I understand that! And oooh, Emma Bridgewater, they're lush. I have some of those and pip studio ones, well, before they got just too expensive so those are kept for best, like when we have guests around, ha.
The bag looks like one of those that someone would print for you off a photo, sweet over Monty! He was a smashing dog your Monty, from your stories and pics over the years x
@blightygal I can’t resist an Emma Bridgewater sale - I’ve a Christmas tea towel collection as well... Maybe I’ve actually turned into my grandmother let alone my mum!
