Thanks for the enthusiastic response to yesterday’s photo - no photographic merit in its own right of course but the shenanigans keep us entertained in the absence of much stimulation! A bit more neighbourhood drama today. This is at my neighbour opposite - we’ve just been on a zoom book group together and I showed her this. She says she’s glad she was out! I couldn’t watch them doing this job especially as one of them is only 17 - and actually I don’t mind heights though I did go jelly legged on the top of King’s College roof and I’ve not been quite the same since.
I have treated the patio for black spot today and I’m a bit seized up now though after the jet washing display across the road my efforts are rather insignificant.
Weather: lovely spring day - a bit chilly outside but no need for the heater when I did zoom fitness in the summer house.
Covid: fingers crossed we can sustain the downward trends.
Good thing: nobody fell off.
You seem to get some interesting goings on in your neighbourhood! Glad I wasn't there to see it. I'm impressed at you cleaning the patio - it's on my list!
I never minded heights (except the high diving board...but that was more a fear of a belly smack), until my first pregnancy. I worked as a draftsman and had to go to the houses being built for measurements, and I got petrified and froze at the top of the open construction stairs. The men all stopped work and came up and encircled me to walk me down.
@newbank Melmoth - I haven’t finished but was quite enjoying it till they all said they weren’t keen! Now I’ll have to force myself to keep going. I am noting your suggestion as my turn next time...
@bkp that’s good of the builders - you were brave going up. It’s weird what triggers us - I’m not good at all with old spiral stairs up and down towers but I like being at the top.
