Happy International Bicycle Day! by judithg

Happy International Bicycle Day!

I didn’t know what day it was when took this photo but obviously now I have the perfect shot for today! I need to update the prescription in my sunglasses so I walked to the opticians which is about 50 minutes each way - there was a brief threat of thunderstorm but otherwise it was a lovely day.

In a break from this year’s tradition....
Good things (mostly):
My back/leg issue has improved (possibly with the warmer weather?) - we’ll find out how much tomorrow morning I think.
I resisted buying new frames...is that a good thing?!
New sofa arrives tomorrow! Possibly at 6am...
My dad has recovered so well that’s he’s moving back home from the nursing home in two weeks time.
Useful city to live in on such a day!! That colour doorway reminds me of the one on Green Street that has the dog painted on. Such a nice shade.
Good about your back/leg issues. Exercise and warmer weather may well be helping. And glad to hear your Dad has improved.

I thought at first your back leg had improved ...I was thinking oh Judith has four legs!! 🤣 I’m getting old!! Those bikes look lovely by that pretty door! We need a sofa too with all the other things on the list it will have to wait!

Sounds like you have a wealth of good things going on. Glad to hear it. I love the door color behind the bikes.

Love this shot! The contrast of the bike with the door in the background is neat!

My yellow bike with its basket and lunch crusher on the back would be right at home in Cambridge. Here, my “friends” start humming “do do do do dooo do” and singing “and your little dog, too” when they see me on my bike.
