Hay bales at sunset by judithg

Hay bales at sunset

I’ve been painting all day again so I was glad Adam & Charlotte were keen to go on an evening walk. I made sure we diverted past the back of King’s College because they have mown the wildflower meadow (with shire horse-drawn ploughs) and the bales of hay are waiting for collection. At sunset the windows of King’s College chapel come alive.
Terrible scenes from Afghanistan this week.

Weather: chilly wind but nice evening
Covid: steady - still v high locally
Good thing: ice cream half way round the walk

How fascinating. I never knew they did that. Lovely shot. I think I've already told you my brother and his wife live in Cambridge. I almost expect one of them to pop up in a photo of yours one day! That would be funny!

That's a great scene. Did you get a picture of the shire horses?

Now there's a sight I have never seen - hay bales by the chapel!

@busylady sadly not though I saw the horse boxes but assumed they were moving a cow!

@jamibann it’s a new thing since they planted the wildflower meadows last year. What area does your brother live in? I might know them 😂 - I’m not sure I know any Scottish people though apart from my next door neighbour 🤔!

I bet the hay smelled a whole lot better than the paint!
