I was heading off to the supermarket only to find that the tyre pressure warning was on on my car so I had to take a very circuitous route (road closed) to the tyre garage. Last week this happened to Nigel’s car and he had a nail in tyre but it turned out eventually that they were just a bit soft. Anyway the morning was gone by the time I’d walked back to collect it and I spent another afternoon repairing the damage done by the electricians. It was a good excuse to take Adam & Charlotte out for a curry when they arrived rather than cooking (no food anyway!) and on the way home we went into the new hotel that’s opened at the end of the road because I wanted to show them the rather glam decor. I found a few friends in the cocktail bar there and was persuaded to stay while A&C went home. The clientele was very dressed up and with cries of ‘we’re on a city break’ from Maria drinks were ordered. 2 hours later I staggered home and took a wonky photo of an illuminated house on the way….
