Well I've photographed posters on railings and, some of you have noticed, bikes, quite a few times. Here we have the glamorous Cambridge Arts Theatre marketing department in action. "Jack and the Beanstalk' if you're interested. The pantos never have any big celebs in and are generally pretty good but have never been up to Christopher Biggins' standard - he did five in a row and then stopped.
Can't see a bicycle photo without your name coming to mind! Not so many bicycles where I live (too mountainous for daily travel), but I spotted one I am going to try to photograph in your honor as soon as the weather improves! And I enjoy theater sometimes too!
I love that even this is done by bike lol. I feel like I should know this chappy but can't quite place him. I took part in a panto one year with Barbara Windsor and.... Keith Harris & Orville
@peggysirk do you get pantos in America - the lead man is a woman (in thigh length boots) , the dame is a man, you have to shout 'he's behind you' and 'oh no he didn't' and sing songs about the worm at the bottom of your garden?
No, that's not a common theater genre in the US. But I understand it's a traditional holiday production in the UK...and it sounds like a fun time! We have the occasional mime shows that are usually rather boring and routine. :)
Well, I had to look up "panto" as we don't seem to have them here in the States. It sounds like great fun and a super way to introduce kids to theater. Or to attend after a drink or two.
that's a very nice pic hun
corny i know and the use of hun was the only thing i could think to rhyme with 'fum'
For us its Beauty and teh Beast with the grandchilren this year. i shall disgrace them by calling out the old lines continuall.
