Warren, RI boasted a thriving set of mill complexes throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries. Like most of the mills in the state, however, they've long since been refurbished for non-industrial use. There's a beautiful old mill building right along the Barrington River just across the second bridge leading into Warren. It's now home to a kick-boxing academy, a Samsonite store, and a set of other small businesses. The loading platform at the back of the complex, seen in today's photo, appears depressingly empty.
Post processing was a simple black and white technique. I used a contrast pop filter in Topaz Adjust, then added a black and white gradient in normal blend mode. A deep blue photo filter, a slight levels adjustment, and a hue adjustment completed it.
