The section Pawtucket along the Blackstone River offers many interesting photo opportunities for those, like myself, that are fascinated by history. This photo was taken from the parking area alongside the historic Slater Mill, the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution. Over the course of the 19th century, numerous mills were built lining the Blackstone River, and you see several of them reflected in today's photo. Interestingly, the building in the background with the beautiful cupola is now a public high school - Tolman High - serving grades 9 through 12.

Post processing started with a neutral filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment and a b&w gradient map at 50% opacity were added in PSE.
