Outdoor Plumbing

The outhouse shown in today's photo is behind the Smith-Appleby House in Smithfield. The other building in the photo is a tool shed, although it was constructed to match the rest of the property and it actually works fairly well photographically in conjunction with the outhouse. The scene reminds me of something out of the Beverly Hillbillies. What struck me was the angle of the tool shed. The foundation is actually horizontal, but the roof has a distinctive downward angle to it. Even the windows are somewhat cockeyed pointing in different directions. Whether by design or as the result of the land settling around it, I can only speculate.

Post processing was a brilliant warm filter in Topaz Adjust followed by a levels adjustment in PSE. The top layer was a deep blue photo filter, used primarily to get the sky and foliage back to their natural tones.
Gorgeous photo - the green and blue colours are just lovely!
