A local farrier arrived to trim the hooves of a friend's horse this morning, and I was invited for the opportunity to shoot some photos. In today's shot, the farrier is using a rasp to level the sole and wall of the hoof. You can clearly see the soft calcium shavings falling to the ground. The hooves are trimmed every six to eight weeks.
Post processing started with a detail light filter in Topaz Adjust. I then made minor adjustments to contrast, strength, and detail boost. In PSE I added a levels adjustment followed by a warming filter.
