Revitalized Waterfront

I wanted a shot along the Providence waterfront today, so I swung by around lunch. It was a cool and somewhat misty day, though, so there wasn't much activity. The young lady having lunch on the steps leading to the river pretty much covered the human aspect of the waterfront today. The scene itself is still photo worthy, though. It's especially significant for Rhode Islanders since it wasn't so long ago that this river was one of the most polluted in the nation. The cleanup effort and the revitalization of this waterfront was astonishing. It is now one of the most popular and most scenic parts of the city. Don't ask me what that doughnut thing is in front, though. I've no idea, but it's someone's idea of art!

Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W Effects. I then adjusted the contrast, brightness, boost black, adaptive exposure, and detail sliders. I applied a heavy adjustment to the color sensitivity sliders, and then adjusted the color filter slider heavily towards the blue range. In PSE, I applied a levels adjustment followed by a sepia photo filter.
