I was in Worcester today for a Sunday Brunch gathering and took the opportunity to take this photo of the historic Worcester Armory at Wheaton Square. The armory was built in 1891 in the classic Gothic Revival style that was popular in the late Victorian period. The building is now a museum and holds the primary historical documents for the Massachusetts Militia. These documents and artifacts date to the founding of the militia and include items from the Battles of Lexington and Concord on April 19th, 1775 - the traditional start of the American Revolution.
Post processing today started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I then adjusted the adaptive exposure, contrast, boost black, and boost white sliders. I adjusted the color sensitivity sliders to enhance the contrast in the sky and to ensure the statue on the island remained visible. (In b&w it gets lost in the trees so I had to lighten it a bit by boosting the green hue sensitivity.) A levels adjustment and a sepia photo filter were added in PSE.
