The first flakes of a potential ten inches of new snow were just starting to fall when I captured this candid shot of my dad getting into his Hyundai Elantra. He was just putting the car in the driveway since we have automatic parking bans in North Providence whenever it snows, but he already looked like he was freezing. It's a very wet, heavy snow, so I'm definitely not looking forward to shoveling it tomorrow.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, regions, contrast, protect highlights, boost black, and boost white. In PSE I applied a liquify and a glassify filter to the license plate to hide the registration. I then adjusted levels and applied a sepia photo filter.
that hat is awesome by the way
I cannot wrestle a knit cap on my dad. I've tried and I end up in a headlock.
