Historic Watson Farm in Jamestown hosted their annual Kite Day today. The weather was perfect for the event with temperatures hovering around 90 and a very strong breeze coming off Narragansett Bay. About a dozen families were on hand when I arrived, and these two youngsters found the ideal kite flying perch atop this large hay bale. One kite, not seen in this photo, was apparently equipped with a photographer-seeking homing device and it made several attempts to eliminate me. Since I was able to post this shot, however, it's clear that my evasive maneuvers were successful.
Post processing started with a simple pop filter in Topaz Adjust. I then adjusted adaptive exposure, regions, and contrast. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
