Flower Power

My new 100mm f/2.8L IS lens arrived yesterday, so this morning I took it for a test shoot at the Lippitt Park Farmer's Market. One of the booths was selling floral arrangements and this woman had just purchased a colorful bouquet. As she was walking towards me, I asked if she'd mind a photo, and she stopped to pose long enough for this image. My focus was on the bouquet, and I was using a relatively wide aperture - f/3.5 - so I was a bit concerned about the depth of field. It turns out, it worked quite well. Her pose was perfect for the overall image, too.

Post processing started with a detail light filter in Topaz Adjust. I adjusted adaptive exposure and contrast. A slight levels adjustment was added in PSE.
