Street Performance by kannafoot

Street Performance

Heading downcity for some street photography, I spotted this street performer somewhat hidden along Washington Street. Even standing a few feet away from him for the photo, I could barely hear either his guitar or his singing over the din of the traffic. A row of parked cars hid him from view until you were almost on top of him, and his playing had a bit of a shy air about it. Despite the acoustical and locational challenges, he still had a nice collection of donations in his guitar case. I'm guessing he is just starting out and is not yet comfortable with the concept of performing on the sidewalk. I'm sure that will come with time.

Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I then adjusted adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, and boost white. A levels adjustment and a sepia photo filter were added in PSE.

Here's the high res version in Smugmug: http://kannafoot.smugmug.com/Photo-Challenges/PAD2013/i-bsSQkD6/0/XL/2013%2007%2010_0011%20copy-XL.jpg
