Tilt!

Barrington, Rhode Island
This location along the Barrington River is normally a good spot for crabbing. It's quite common to see folks kneeling at the end of this dock, luring in blue crabs with a small baited line. When I set out for today's photo, that's exactly what I had in mind. When I arrived, however, I was very surprised to see that the dock did not appear to survive the winter! The end that is tilted into the water is supposed to be floating on the surface. It'll be interesting to see if they repair it anytime soon. In the meantime, I'll need to find another location to find crabbers to photograph.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, and boost white. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
Wow, now that sure must've been a surprise Ron! Made for an interesting photo though, guess you guys had quite the winter aha! I never knew you could lure crabs in with baited lines! I always thought you had to use nets or crab nets haha! Very interesting! x

Wonder if it fell victim to the ice that my plants did?
