No, I was not able to get a sneak preview of the new Apple iWatch. While the scale would be believable given the size of the new iPhone 6, this is, in fact, a sundial. I found this beauty on the front lawn of the Newman Congregational Church and just had to showcase it. I've seen numerous sundials, both in the US and throughout Europe, but believe it or not, this is the first sundial I've actually seen while the sun was shining. I took the photo at 11:48 AM EDT, which would be 10:48 EST. A sundial displays Local Solar Time which varies by the season. Today's offset for LST in Providence was +29 minutes, so adjusting for daylight time, the dial should read about 11:17. It looks pretty accurate!
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
