Wanskuck Neighborhood

Providence, Rhode Island
Let's start with a pronunciation lesson. This is Rhode Island, after all, so forget everything you were incorrectly taught about pronouncing words in the English language. We Rhode Islander's know the truth, however. (By the way, that is pronounced "row DISLAND". The "D" belongs to the second word, not the first. Clearly, they spelled it wrong in 1636.) Now, forget how the name if this neighborhood is spelled. It is pronounced "WAN-skit." Apparently, the Wampanoag Indians couldn't spell, either. Stay tuned for future lessons in which you'll learn the correct pronunciation of "Pawtucket"!
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, and boost white. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
Haha good thing that I've never REALLY learnt to pronounce words like that, so I can mix words from different accents :D Be glad that you have never heard me talking :p
@justaspark LOL It can't be any worse than my Rhode Island accent! Hey, did I tell you I ordered post cards from one of my photos? The order arrived today. I love how they came out!
