Thomas Albert Bodle 1869 by ladymagpie

Thomas Albert Bodle 1869

When I'm not out and about in the countryside I have several other indoor hobbies. One of my favourites is Genealogy and having already completed my family back to 1700. I am now trying to find Silver Christening Mugs and look forward and backwards through this family.

This one is for Thomas Albert Bodle who was born on the 28th September 1869 in Greenwich, London. He had 2 other brothers and incredibly all 3 lads died young in their adulthood. Thomas died in 1896 (27) whilst his Brother Edward (27) and William (34). There must be some very good female Bodle family line as his 2 Sisters Margaret and Louisa went on to live to a very old age. None of the boys died in war although William died in the Greylingstad Transvaal Colony in South Africa.

Once I've completed the history I send for a copy of the birth certificate to go alongside the christening mug which I must say is not cheap. Thank you for all your recent comments, I'm on a live football match at the moment.
I enjoy reading your geneaology stories. So interesting

Lovely hobby in the dry. Poor mum must have died broken hearted.

@rosiekind @bkbinthecity Just to clarify, this person wasn't in my family. I purchase these mugs and just spend time working on the family from the mug.

@ribbet9 There are some interesting jobs but I find that families follow the same job through history.

It's not a cheap hobby from buying the item, annual subscription to search sites and then each birth certificate costs about £10 ($15)
