night photography with mood (2)

This was the final shot taken while out shooting for the ONS7 night challenge.
I was initially disappointed the focus was slightly off - the 30 second exposure (at 400 ISO) was taken in almost complete darkness, and I had started to feel a little vulnerable crouching in the dark outside the park's public toilets, so did not stop to take a follow-up shot.
I do really like however that I captured the stars with the last of post-goldenhour glow that had not been visible to my eyes. It was actually almost tottally dark by this time, and I had really been hoping to find the frame even included the playground horse - it was so dark I could not actually see it to focus on it !! :))
I really enjoyed the challenge of trying different styles of night shots for the ONS, thanks Jerry.

Looks great. For mine I put my camera on the window ledge outside my bedroom which meant I was able to take 4 images.

This is gorgeous Lyn! I love the stars in the sky and the last of the sunset colors in the distance. Awesome job for "shooting blind" so to speak!

It still has a haunting appeal, specifically with the silhouetted trees and the playground horse.
Just be careful hanging around toilets in the dark !
