Out of my comfort zone completely with this - but as usual, that means I learnt a lot.
Blurism is not shooting 'out of focus' - it is using negative focus for creative atmosphere. I think high key people shots probably work better, but while waiting at Canberra airport carpark, the rain created an interesting sense of movement on the windscreen. I have not applied any liquifying or painting filters or distortions to this shot at all. Shooting through the rain drops 'off-focus' has however altered the straight lines of a green hedge, white security fence and blue windows of the airport terminal, but.....Blurism is a hint of an image... but here I probably need to give you a hint that maybe if you take your glasses off and squint really hard, you might see Cathy and Heathcliff? :)
Beautiful blur- my hint of realism was waves on a mossy shore. Does blurism have to hint at something that is really real? Or is it acceptable to make our own reality? I think it works.
