Dew is a common sight, isn't it? But dew on the inside of a flower? It was my first time seeing it. XD
This flower (I have no idea what kind it is) has not bloomed. But I was totally fascinated to see that there were drops of moisture within its unopened petals. I've never studied plant biology or physics and it has never crossed my mind that something like this could even happen. How odd!
In other news, next week will be another Jumping Spiders Week. 8D
Beautiful ...I've never seen one like this either. It's gorgeous from the "inside out." Was this in a greenhouse-type atmosphere? I mean where there might be alot of moisture all of the time? Just wondering. Very exotic ... wonderful capture.
@karenann Nope, not in a greenhouse, it was just out there, growing in the soil at the park. Oddly enough, at the time, there was no dew on the other plants in the vicinity. So I was very surprised to see this!
All I can come up with is condensation?! Interesting find, never seen something like that either. Beautiful bright yellow, color therapy works, I'm feeling happy for some reason. :)
Lovely looking plant - maybe its storing its own moisture....do you have lots of jumping spiders around - l came across one a few months ago, as l was focusing it looked at me with amazing blue eyes , l jumped, the shot was out of focus, the spider ran away and l have been keeping an eye out ever since but with no luck....looking forward to your's next week!!
A great, big, pretty, dewy and bright "THANK YOU!" to everyone! It's so odd, isn't it. I will look out for this plant again the next time I visit the park. Thank you so much for your constant support and generous comments. I am grateful.
Stunning. Beautiful. Great color and find. Is it possible that the night was colder, and the flower trapped the cool air inside, making the moisture when the heat of the morning reached the pedals?
I'd like to see that when it blooms - maybe with a spider on it?
