@dulciknit - quartering onto a vehicle is always a good perspective. It gives you depth as well as a proper view of two sides of a vehicle. You might remember I do a lot of insurance photography for an agency. i have to take all four corners of every car from this shot angle. I have thousands of crashed car pictures from this perspective! It has taught me a lot about angles. LOL.
@dulciknit - Yes, the old masters like the three-quarter view of the face. Known as the "broad" it is where light comes from the side and shows the face to be presented either as mostly shadow with a slim light on the turned away side, or the bright side shown with the shadow turned away.
