Vintage tractor

I enjoyed this one - it all seemed to come together as a black and white.
Yes, nice tones and textures and you can't beat a bright, sunny day with a partial covering of clouds for a good b&w.
Like the angle you've used on the tractor.

@dulciknit - quartering onto a vehicle is always a good perspective. It gives you depth as well as a proper view of two sides of a vehicle. You might remember I do a lot of insurance photography for an agency. i have to take all four corners of every car from this shot angle. I have thousands of crashed car pictures from this perspective! It has taught me a lot about angles. LOL.

Great shot of the nice tractor. Not far from here we have a museum of old tractors.

I've gotten to know several farmers over the last two years and many of them have old tractors- still running! Love the angle and subject- fav.

@netkonnexion I may have got it all wrong in my head but it reminds me of the angle that portrait painters often employ.

@dulciknit - Yes, the old masters like the three-quarter view of the face. Known as the "broad" it is where light comes from the side and shows the face to be presented either as mostly shadow with a slim light on the turned away side, or the bright side shown with the shadow turned away.
See: http://bit.ly/2eGDbPc - although not all of these are "broads" you probably get the idea.

Looks like it should be in a museum, not on the field!
