I'm A Believer

It's official. There are definite signs of Spring in my gardens!!! Time to get the deer repellent out.
Love this shot. Great perspective the new life against the backdrop of the leafless trees and blue sky! Hope springs eternal! Oh, and you can buy deer repellent? Wow, I have never heard of such a thing!

Well I hope you're right. We've seen these signs before.

Thanks Kerrie! Yes- there are several brands- some more pleasantly scented than others. The one I buy is environmentally safe and smells a little minty. I made the mistake of trying a less expensive brand last year, but the smell was so foul (peutrid urine is how I would describe it) I couldn't spray it without gagging, so I ended up throwing it out. Here in the Poconos (the area of Pennsylvania that I live in), if you don't use it on certain plants, like lilies, the deer will eat them down to nubs. The plants in this shot are daffodils, which the deer don't like for some reason. That's fine with me- they're one of my favorite flowers!

No really Rick, these are actual BUDS!!! Not just those little teaser green shoots that pop up and then get covered with snow. (Ha ha, now that I said that we'll get 10 inches this weekend. Well, maybe since I said we'll get 10 inches we'll have a heat wave instead. Oh no, now I jinxed that too. I'll stop now before I cause a hurricane.)

Yes, I would suggest you go to bed and forget it all. It is cold outside where I live, and last week we were in Spring. Wishing you luck.

I'm with you on that one Roe Jan. And now I am even more hopeful that Spring is truly here to stay. When we returned home tonight the Spring Peepers were singing away!!!!!
