Reading Between the Lines

The hearth tiles are set and now they're grouted. In the evening, the soft glow of the floor lamp gives the tiles a wamer hue. Because they are tumbled stone, their edges are not perfectly straight. But the grout really pulls them together. One amazing aspect of Christians world-wide is that we've all been tumbled by life, but the Holy Spirit draws us together and gives us a warm hue-love for one another. Who would have thought a floor tile could produce such theological musings!
Wow, they look beautiful.

Love the photo and the analogy! So true about being tumbled and then drawn together. Very nice tile work I must say. Maybe your hubby can come do my hearth too?

Thanks Rick- we can't wait to see them next to the wood floor- that will probably come next week. Thank you Kerrie- I'm not sure where you're located, but something tells me it's not nearby. (o: He does travel sometimes, but it's usually not more than 2 hrs. away. But then again, you never know...!
