There are always two things that come to mind when I hear the word "solid". The first is an image of a cornerstone. The cornerstone brings solidity to a house. It is the anchor of the foundation. All the other stones, and the walls they compose are keyed in to the cornerstone. The second is an old hymn whose refrain proclaims, "On Christ the solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand; all other ground is sinking sand." So, it seemed quite appropriate that since the word "solid" fell on a Sunday, and my thoughts were linked with church, that they should all merge together for today's photo- the cornerstone of First Presbyterian Church in Milford, PA., USA.
Therefore thus says the Lord God, "Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, a costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed (solid). He who believes in it will not be disturbed."
Isaiah 28:16
@bkbinthecity@alia_801 Thanks bkb! Thanks Alia! (Used the HDR effect in Picnik for the grainy effect- seemed to go well with the "oldness" of the cornerstone).
