That remote in my hand, the cell phone to my ear, the buzzer on the alarm clock, doorbells, kitchen timers...all these signals firing off throughout my day. Beep beep, rrrrrrinng!!, buzzzzzzzzzzz- sometimes they're an assault on the ears and all I want to do is escape!
Took an otherwise boring picture and spiced it up with the infared effect for this one. Looking at it after the editing triggered a memory of lyrics from an old song:
The atmosphere is thin and cold
The yellow sun is getting old
The ozone overflows with radio waves
AM, FM, weather and news
Our leaders had a frank exchange of views
Are you confused, radio waves...
So, now I'll add to all those signals out there in space and send this picture along to 365!
@marytj Thanks Mary- I've been thinking how to tackle the s-challenge word signal for several days- this was a last ditch attempt at something-anything!! The colors make the photo. The tv zapper by itself is boring!
Love the perspective and the candy colors. The shapes seem to be hovering in midair which helps to create the surreal effect you want for this scene. Great idea.
@allie912 Thanks Allison- those were the colors that came up when I chose the effect-I played around with it a bit, but came back to the original- it seemed to go with the idea of a radio signal. @bkbinthecity Thanks bkb. @alia_801 Thank you so much Alia- as the month has progressed, I've gotten more and more excited about it. Last night my husband came into the kitchen and found me just standing there. "What are you doing?" he asked. "Oh, I'm just thinking about the word 'shallow'," I replied. Yep, I'm hooked.
From now on when I have my cellphone, TV control, alarm clock or egg timer in my hand I'll be seeing your colorful picture in front of my eyes..so never a dull moment from now on. great editing and an ever greater thought.
